PHILADELPHIA - Coming on the heels of its first NCAA At-Large Bid since 1998, the Temple lacrosse team has added a second grad transfer to the squad, with goalkeeper Annie Carroll joining the team from UConn.

"We are very excited to welcome Annie to the Temple Owl Family," head coach Bonnie Rosen said. "Having spent some time with Annie, it is clear that she will be a wonderful addition to our team because of her play in the goal, her passion for lacrosse, and her love of building a positive team culture!"

Carroll spent the first four years of her collegiate career at UConn, seeing action in 14 games. She saw three starts between the pipes, picking up 16 ground balls and making 51 saves. The Fallsington, Pa. native allowed 69 goals as a Husky for an 11.95 GAA.

"I am thrilled to be joining the Temple lacrosse program," Carroll said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to pursue my masters and continue my athletic career as an Owl. I am beyond excited to be a part of such a cohesive group and to continue to build on the successes the program had this year."

Temple is coming off a historic season, advancing to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1998 before falling to eventual national champion Boston College. The Owls recognized nine seniors at the end of the regular season and will welcome five freshmen to the squad for the 2022 season in addition to Carroll and fellow grad transfer Quinn Nicolai of Penn State.
