PHILADELPHIA – Dennis Hawkins, who has six years' experience working in the intercollegiate athletics business industry, has been named the Assistant Athletics Director for Business Operations, announced Temple University Senior Associate Athletic Director for Business and Finance Tim Thiess.
"We want to welcome Dennis Hawkins to the Temple Athletics family," said Thiess. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position, having most recently overseen the business operations at another NCAA Division I institution, Delaware State."
"I want to thank Tim Thiess, Fran Dunphy, and the entire search committee for selecting me to serve in this role for Temple Athletics," said Hawkins. "I know they reviewed many qualified candidates from across the country, and I am very humbled and honored to be selected. I believe my experience with working in culturally diverse institutions at both the Division I and II levels, will be an asset to Temple Athletics. I also want to thank my family and close friends, who have always been my support system throughout my career."
Hawkins comes to Temple after serving the past two and a half years as the Associate Athletic Director of Finance and Administration at Delaware State University.
