PHILADELPHIA – The ACC Network announced today that the football game between Temple and Duke, originally scheduled for Saturday, September 3, has been moved to Friday, September 2, to accommodate a national television audience.
Both schools will be playing their first games under new head coaches – Temple's Stan Drayton and Duke's Mike Elko. This will be only the second time the schools have ever met on the gridiron, and the first meeting since the 2018 Independence Bowl on December 27, 2018.
Temple will follow that road matchup with three non-conference games at Lincoln Financial Field – Lafayette (Sept. 10), Rutgers (Sept. 17), and UMass (Sept. 24) – before starting conference play. The American Athletic Conference is expected to release the football schedule in the coming weeks.
