Men's Basketball Heads to UCF for Wednesday Game

ORLANDO - Temple Men's Basketball will be taking on a familiar foe Wednesday (7 pm/ESPN+/1210 AM WPHT) when they battle the UCF Knights at Addition Financial Arena.  The Owls (7-6, 0-2 AAC) will be looking for their first American Athletic Conference win while the Knights (9-3, 1-1 AAC) will be in search of a series sweep over the visitors.Â
The teams met three weeks ago in Philadelphia with UCF earning a 65-48 victory at the Liacouras Center in the conference opener for both programs.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Damian Dunn leads the Owls in scoring (13.6 ppg), rebounding (4.9 rpg), steals (16) and free throw percentage (47-56, .839). Dunn has picked up his game since Khalif Battle (21.4 ppg) was sidelined for the year, averaging 16.5 ppg over the last six games.
> Jeremiah Williams is second on the team in scoring (9.2 ppg) and runs the show offensively. He leads the Owls in assists (4.8 apg, 5th AAC) and minutes per game (31.1).
> Temple's sixth man, Tai Strickland, who sat out the Houston game with a back issue, is next at 8.2 ppg, while leading the squad in three-point percentage (9-25, .360).
> Jake Forrester, who missed the Houston game with a non-Covid related illness, leads the team in field goal percentage (.544) while averaging 6.2 ppg and 4.2 rpg.Â
> Nick Jourdain (4.0 ppg), who has started the last three games, leads the team in blocks (1.6 bpg/3rd AAC) and ranks second in rebounding ( rpg) and Jahlil White (4.7 ppg/4.5 rpg) round out the starting five.
> Zach Hicks (5.5 ppg), who set a school record with 10 threes vs. Delaware State, has provided offense off the bench of late. He leads the squad with 19 threes (.358).Â

> Darin Green, Jr leads UCF and ranks eighth in the conference at 15.1 ppg. Green also tops the Knights and ranks second in the AAC in three-pointers made (37) and percentage (.435).
> As a team, UCF is tied for third in the conference in three-pointers made (8.0 pg).
> Darius Perry (11.3 ppg) and Brandon Mahan (10.9 ppg) also average double figures for the Knights with C.J. Walker (9.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg) close behind. Â
