Men’s Cross Country Earns 6th at Penn State National Open

University Park, Pa. – Temple Men's Cross Country put out a strong showing, earning 6^th out of 14 teams at the Penn State National Open Friday. The Owls were remarkably consistent, with Erik Kain, Cole Frank, and Christian Fitch finishing 20, 22, and 24, respectively.

La Salle won the meet, with Northeastern taking second place. Temple defeated two Big Ten school's en route to 6^th place in host Penn State and Rutgers.

"The guys raced very well and we beat a lot of really good teams. Erik, Cole and Christian did a great job leading the way with finishes near the top 20. We also had some young guys step up. We have some things to improve on and some guys to get healthy and back in our lineup, but the guys competed extremely hard and it paid off today."
