10.24.22 | Men's Basketball
PHILADELPHIA – Connor Gal, a 6-4, 185-pound freshman guard out of Great Valley High (Malvern, Pa.), and AK Fihla, a 6-2, 170-pound freshman guard from St. David's High (Johannesburg, South Africa), have joined the 2022-23 Temple men's basketball team as walk-ons, announced men's basketball coach Aaron McKie.
"Connor and AK are two hard-working talented young men who earned spots on this year's team through our walk-on tryouts," said McKie. "There energy level and skill will challenge our guys daily in practice, like third-year walk-on Ryan Sayers continues to do."
Gal averaged 19 points per game while earning first team all-Conference and second team All-Area as a senior at Great Valley in 2021-22. Fihla averaged 18 points and six assists per game during his final season at St. David's.
Fihla will wear number 25 while Gal will don number 13.
