Draven Barnett Earns All-Rookie From the American
11.9.22 | Men's Soccer
IRVING, TX—Men's soccer freshman Draven Barnett has earned All-Rookie honors from the American Athletic Conference following his outstanding performance in the regular season, as announced by the league Wednesday morning. This marks the sixth consecutive season the Owls have had at least one All-Rookie selection.
Barnett has been a standout all season for the Cherry and White. The Springfield, Missouri native started all 14 games he played in and led all freshmen with 1185 minutes. He finished third on the roster in minutes played. Barnett quickly proved his worth as a defensive midfielder, earning Philly Soccer Six Rookie of the Week in his first week on campus. He picked up his first collegiate point with an assist against No. 22/9 Tulsa on October, 22nd.
