Owls in the NFL - Week 14
12.13.22 | Football
PHILADELPHIA - Week 14 for the Owls in the NFL consisted of some standout performances. Nobody had a bigger impact than Philadelphia Eagles' Haason Reddick (2013-16). Reddick made history, becoming the only NFL player since sacks became an official statistic to have 10+ sacks in three consecutive seasons with three different teams.
With Shaun Bradley (2016-19) sidelined due to a hamstring injury, Reddick and the Philadelphia Eagles dominated in a 48-22 victory over NFC East division rivals, the New York Giants and former teammates Chris Myarick (2016-18). Reddick had two tackles, one sack, one tackle-for-loss, and one quarterback hit.
Dion Dawkins (2013-16), Tyler Matakevich (2012-15), and the Buffalo Bills faced off against AFC East division rivals, the New York Jets, and former Owl Kenny Yeboah (2016-19). Dawkins and the Bills offense were able to remain efficient and lead the team to a 20-12 victory, despite inclement weather in Buffalo.
Former Owls - Sean Chandler (2014-17), Sam Franklin (2016-19), Matt Ioannidis (2012-15), P.J. Walker (2013-16), and the Carolina Panthers defeated the Seattle Seahawks, 30-17. Ioannidis had one tackle.
William Kwenkeu (2016-21) and the Minnesota Vikings lost, 34-23, to NFC North division rivals the Detroit Lions.
Brandon McManus (2009-12), Jacob Martin (2014-17), and the Denver Broncos lost to AFC West division rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, 34-28. Martin had one tackle, while McManus scored four points (4 PATs).
Todd Bowles (1982-85) and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 35-7.
On Thursday Night, Rock Ya-Sin (2018) and his Las Vegas Raiders were unable to remain in the win column, as they would lose a very close game, 17-16, to the Los Angeles Rams.
On Monday Night, Robbie Anderson (2011-13, 2015) and the Arizona Cardinals lost to the New England Patriots, 27-13. Anderson had his best game with Arizona, reeling in four catches for 50 yards.
Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20), Matt Hennessy (2016-19) and the Atlanta Falcons had their bye week, as did Harrison Hand (2017-19), and the Chicago Bears. Hand is also now on the active roster for the Chicago Bears.
