Golf Looks to Bounce Back at the Southern Invitational

PALM BEACH, Fla. – After a 13^th place finish at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, the Temple golf team looks to bounce back as they travel to Florida for the Sixth Annual Southern Invitational next Monday and Tuesday (March 14-15). The 11-team event will be held at The Falls Club on a par-72, 6,757-yard course. The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.

Previewing the Owls
> Junior co-captain Conor McGrath, who leads the Owls with a 70.55 stroke average, had the best fall of any Temple golfer in school history. He led the Owls and tied for 20^th overall with a five-over 215 at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.
> Sophomore Graham Chase is second on the team with a 73.25 stroke average and looks to bounce back from a tough outing at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.
> Senior co-captain Dawson Anders (73.65) was second (+7) for the Cherry and White at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate and looks to build momentum after a solid final round.
> Freshman Ethan Whitney (74.25) looks to rebound from his struggles in the first two spring tournaments after playing solid golf in the fall.
> Junior Buddy Hansen (74.41) looks to recover from a tough outing at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.

The Field
> The tournament is hosted by Loyola Maryland. The other teams in the field are Austin Peay, Belmont, Florida Atlantic, James Madison, Ohio State, Old Dominion, St. Bonaventure, Towson, and Xavier.
> The Owls are grouped with Old Dominion and James Madison and will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
