KENNESAW, Ga.– The No. 18 Temple lacrosse team (4-1) steamrolled Kennesaw State Wednesday afternoon to move back into the win column. The Owls poured on the points, scoring 19 goals, the most Temple has scored in a game since the 2017 season. Midfielder Belle Mastropietro notched her 100^th career point early in the third quarter.

Recapping the Game
> Temple got off to a slow start, with Quinn Nicolai scoring the opening Owls goal sandwiched between two Kennesaw State scores.
> Belle Mastropietro and Nicolai scored back-to-back goals to give Temple a 3-2 lead. The Owls would never trail again.
> KSU tied it up before Camryn Zavacky and Lauren Zinkl scored the final two goals of the quarter to give Temple a 5-3 lead at the end of the first frame.
> Kennesaw State controlled play early in the second, scoring two more goals to counter one from Mackenzie Roth.
> Temple scored three of the next four goals to take a 9-6 lead into halftime. Mastropietro assisted two and scored one.
> The teams traded goals to start the third quarter, with Riley McGowan and Gabrielle Kirsch finding the back of the net (11-8).
> Nicolai scored once and Mastropietro twice to give Temple a six-goal lead. Kennesaw State countered with two goals of their own in the final minute of the 3^rd to conclude the period 14-10.
> Hannah Schrader scored her first career goal to open the fourth, followed by another goal from Roth to stretch the lead (16-10).
> KSU found the back of the net one final time before Temple ended the contest with a bang.
> McGowan scored twice, alongside a goal from Maeve Tobin to put the final tally at Temple 19-11.

> Mastropietro continued her absolutely outstanding season with her best performance yet. The midfielder tied for the game-high with four goals, passed for three assists (new career-high), picked up two ground balls, and single-handedly matched Kennesaw State in draw controls with 14 (also a career-high).
> McGowan set a new season-high with four goals. Nicolai earned her fourth hat-trick in five games thus far alongside an assist and two draw controls.
> Mackenzie Roth scored two goals and tied for her career-high four assists.
> Kirsch, Zinkl, Julie Schickling, Zavacky, Tobin, and Schrader all scored once.
> Taylor Moncman set a new career-high with three ground balls, Zavacky also picked up two ground balls.
