No. 9 Fencing to Send 12 to Regionals

PHILADELPHIA - The No. 9 Temple fencing team will once again be well represented at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional on Saturday, March 12, with the maximum 12 fencers set to compete for the Owls.

For the foil squad, freshman Anna Novoseltseva, and sophomores Elizabeth Novoseltseva, Gretl Merges, and Anastasia Yankovskiy will compete.

The sabre squad will see freshman Arwen Gormley and Eva Ventura, sophomore Alexandra Weinberg, and junior Emma Pincus compete.

Representing the epee squad will be graduate transfer Ashley Cherry, and juniors Naomi Ross, Margherita Calderaro, and Sarah Park.

The NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional is being hosted by Princeton on March 12. Jadwin Gym will open to the public at 8 a.m. with competition beginning at 9 a.m. and estimated completion at 5:30 p.m. 

The Owls are coming off their 26th straight NIWFA title this past weekend, where they swept all three squad weapons titles and earned two individual weapons titles. Temple completed its dual meet season with a record of 24-14.
