Mastropietro, Roth, and Barber Earn AAC Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas- After claiming the program's 500th victory against Cincinnati on Saturday, three Owls were awarded AAC Weekly Honors. Belle Mastropietro has been awarded AAC Midfielder of the Week, while Mackenzie Roth and Maddie Barber have been named to the Weekly Honor Roll. This marks the sixth time this season Mastropietro has earned an AAC Weekly Honor and the second straight week she has won Midfielder of the Week. For Roth, it is the third time has been named to the Weekly Honor Roll this season. This is Barber's second straight week being named to the Honor Roll.
It was yet another brilliant day for Mastropietro. The junior paced all players with four goals on the day, this was the eighth time this season the midfielder has scored at least a hat trick. She also led all players with four ground balls. Mastropietro's first goal of the contest was her 100th career score.
Roth led all players in points (6). The attacker had three goals and three assists alongside one ground ball. She scored or assisted on three straight goals in the first quarter to give the Owls an early lead. Roth is 2nd in the American and 11th in the nation in assists (29). She is currently tied for sixth all-time in single-season assists and is approaching the career assists top ten.
Barber continued to be a menace on defense. She matched the entire Cincinnati team with three caused turnovers. The sophomore also scooped two ground balls and controlled two draws.
Temple next hits the road for the conference road opener against ECU. The noon matchup will be streamed on ESPN+.
