Jahlil White Named Big 5 Rookie of the Year; Dunn, Williams Earn All-Big 5 Honors

PHILADELPHIA – Temple University freshman Jahlil White was named the Philadelphia Big 5 Rookie of the Year while redshirt freshman guard Damian Dunn and freshman Jeremiah Williams were selected First and Second Team All-Big 5.
White, who was one of three Owls to play in all 29 games, led Temple in rebounding (6.0 ppg/10th AAC) and steals (33), while ranking second in field goal percentage (.427) while averaging 7.5 points and 25.9 minutes per game. He has two double-doubles on the season and leads the squad with four double-figure rebound games.
Dunn, who was among the nation's leaders in free throws made (4.7) and attempted (5.6) per game, ranked third on the Owls in scoring (15.2 ppg.) and second in assists (53). The Meadowcreek, Ga. native also earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Conference Second Team and the NABC Second Team All-District.
Williams led the team in assists (95) to rank fifth in the AAC in assists per game (4.32). The Chicago, Ill. native was second on the team in steals (30), 15th in the league in steals per game (1.36).
Other major award winners include Villanova guard Collin Gillespie (Player of the Year; Scholar Athlete of the Year), Villanova head coach Jay Wright (Coach of the Year), Villanova forward Eric Dixon (Most Improved Player).
