Michelle Joyce Named to Academic All-District Team

PHILADELPHIA - Temple cross country / track and field runner Michelle Joyce was one of 12 student-athletes named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 2 Women's Track & Field / Cross Country Team.
Joyce was displayed exemplary work ethic both in the classroom and on the course. A graduate student receiving a master's degree in Bioinformatics, Joyce posted a 4.0 GPA while being named a member of Temple's Trustee Ten.
Athletically, Joyce raced to an 11th place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals on her way to becoming just the second runner in school history to race at the NCAA Championships (XC).
District 2, comprised of universities in Washington D.C., Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, is one of eight districts recognized by CoSIDA.
First‐team Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second‐ and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in mid‐June.
