Men's Crew Adds Scott Waters as Assistant Coach

"I feel privileged to join the staff of my Alma mater on a full-time basis," Waters said. "IÂ am looking forward to contributing to Temple Crew's continued growth and success on both the local and national levels. The future is bright for this program and I'm honored to be a part of that process."

His energy, expertise, and connection with the men will be key in shaping this up and coming group as well as future Temple Crews!
Waters, a native of the Philadelphia suburb of Wyndmoor, Pa. joined the Temple coaching staff in fall 2014 after spending the previous three seasons coaching for Bucknell University. A LaSalle High School graduate in 2007, Scott was a three-year varsity letter winner in both football and rowing. Scott would go on to row for Temple University, where he competed for three years in the Varsity 8 that was frequently ranked among the top 20 crews in the country.
During his time at Bucknell, Scott coached crews to multiple medal performances in the Freshman 4+, Varsity 4+ and Freshman 8+, including an ACRA National Champion Freshman 4+ in 2013, and a Henley Royal Regatta birth in the Varsity 4+ in 2014. Since joining Temple, Scott coached the Men's Lightweight 4+ to a 2014 Dad Vail Gold and IRA Regatta Bid. Scott continues to work with the Temple Lightweight Men as well as  boat rigging and equipment maintenance.
Scott is a 3-time Club National Champion, winning the Senior Men's 4- and the Senior Men's 8+ in the summer of 2010 with a repeat win in the Senior 8+ in 2012 for Vesper Boat Club, located on Boathouse Row in Philadelphia.
Scott is a 2011 graduate of Temple University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology.
