Golf to Co-Host Cornell/Temple Fall Invite at The 1912 Club

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. – Temple Golf will co-host the 15-team Cornell/Temple Fall Invite this Saturday and Sunday at The 1912 Club, the Owls' par-70, 6,951-yard home course. This is the first time Temple has co-hosted this tournament with Cornell as it normally has been run as the Cornell Invitational on this same weekend.

Previewing the Owls

Conor McGrath, who placed second at the Cornell Invitational last year, started the season right where he left off. The senior captain led Temple with a five-under 211 at the GolfWeek Fall Challenge.
Ethan Whitney, who placed fourth at the Cornell Invitational in 2021, was second for the Owls in the season opening tournament, shooting a three-under 213.
Co-captain Graham Chase was even par at the GolfWeek Fall Challenge with Joey Morganti and Jake Naese rounding out Temple's A team.
Temple is one of three schools enter a second team at the event. Andrew Curran and Darren Nolan, who both competed as individuals at the GolfWeek Fall Challenge, will lead the second team that features two golfers making their debuts, Greg Hanna and Andres Aranguren.
Danny Nguyen, who played 16 rounds for the Owls in 2019-20, will make his first appearance for the Cherry and White in three seasons.

Previewing the Field

Besides Temple, which won the 2021 Cornell Invitational, the field is comprised of co-host Cornell, Binghamton, Bucknell, Canisius, Columbia, Dartmouth, Lafayette, Penn, Rhode Island, Saint Joseph's, Siena.
Like Temple, Cornell and Penn will field B teams at the Invite.
Nine individuals from seven schools will also compete in the 84-player field.
