PHILADELPHIA – Temple University Vice President/Director of Athletics Arthur Johnson has named Bryan Senior as the department's new Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director, Finance & Administration/Chief Financial Officer beginning on Oct. 16, 2023.
Senior comes to Temple after serving as the Assistant Athletics Director for Business at Florida State. In that position, Senior led the daily activities of the FSU athletics department with a budget exceeding $160 million for two-plus years, served as a member of the department's leadership team, and had administrative oversight for several sports.
"I am excited to have Bryan join our athletics leadership team," said Johnson. "Bryan has served the public and private sectors while gaining experiences with large and small budgets in college athletics. His work at Florida State exposed him to one of the most visible athletic departments in the country and his reputation for his work ethic and attention to detail as a CPA impressed us. He is a perfect fit for Temple and I am looking forward to serving with him."
Before his time at FSU, Senior was the Assistant Athletics Director for Business at Columbus State for over seven years. There, he had oversight of all financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting for the athletic department. He also served as the department liaison to all the University's financial departments.
"I'm so thankful to Arthur Johnson and the hiring committee at Temple for giving me this opportunity," said Senior. "I met so many great people on my visit to campus and I look forward to working along with them to cultivate greatness for our student-athletes."
Senior earned a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from Columbus State. Prior to his career in athletics, he worked 14 years in the construction industry overseeing budgets for multiple projects as a construction manager and superintendent for Horace Senior Construction.
