Men’s Crew Earns Fifth-Place Finish at the Head of the Charles

PHILADELPHIA- Temple Men's Crew continued their fall season on Sunday at the Head of the Charles Regatta on the Charles River in Boston. The Owls had two boats in the 42-boat regatta, earning a fifth-place finish in the Varsity Eights.

>The Varsity Eight brought home a fifth-place finish with a time of 15:32.736.
>The Second Varsity Eight placed No. 15 out of 42 different boat entries with a time of 16:03.232.

FROM THE COACH
"The crews executed clean runs down the Charles River. Less than half a second separated 3rd, 4th and 5th," head coach Brendain Cunningham said. "This race is a good benchmark to measure where we stand. We will continue to build on our momentum through the fall. Next Saturday, we are back on the Schuylkill and looking to improve on our results from two weeks ago. Many thanks to all the regatta volunteers and race officials that made this weekend possible for the athletes. Congratulations to all the Temple Alumni that competed this weekend. Go Owls!"
