AAC Announces 2024 Football Conference Matchups

IRVING, Texas — The American Athletic Conference today announced its 2024 conference football matchups. Temple's football season, the third under head coach Stan Drayton, will include four home and four road conference matchups
Temple will host Army, Florida Atlantic, North Texas, and Tulsa at Lincoln Financial Field during the 2024 season. The Owl's matchup with Florida Atlantic will mark the first time the two schools have faced each other in football. The 2024 season will include road trips to East Carolina, Navy, UTSA, and Tulane. Dates of the matchups are expected to be finalized and announced in February.
With SMU leaving the conference and Army entering, one critical criteria in creating the schedule was no repeat site matchups from 2023 to 2024. The conference also wanted to protect several annual matchups including the Temple-Navy rivalry.
Temple's eight conference matchups add to the Owls' four previously announced 2024 non-conference games: at Oklahoma (Aug. 31), Coastal Carolina (Sept. 14), Utah State (Sept. 21), and at UConn (Oct. 5).
