Owls Land Eight on Phil Steele’s All-AAC Teams

PHILADELPHIA – Phil Steele released his 2023 American Athletic Conference All-Conference teams this week, including eight Temple Owls.
Earning first-team recognition was graduate outside linebacker Layton Jordan. Jordan finished the 2022 season with career-highs in sacks (9.0), TFLs (18.5), and tackles (53). He also intercepted two passes, which he returned for touchdowns, and added another score on a fumble return.
Inside linebacker Jordan Magee earned second-team honors. The redshirt junior started all 12 games in 2022, pacing the Owls with 86 tackles. Two graduates - tight end David Martin-Robinson, coming off a 2022 season with a career-best 33 catches for 366 yards and two touchdowns, and kicker Camden Price, who led the AAC in 2022 with a 92.9 percentage on field goal attempts ( 13 of 14) – join Magee on the second team.
Redshirt junior linebacker Diwun Black, redshirt sophomore cornerback Jalen McMurray, and redshirt senior offensive lineman Richard Rodriguez, all landed third-team recognition.
Redshirt senior wide receiver Amad Anderson Jr. rounds out the list with fourth-team honors.
