Fox to serve as Coordinator of Student-Athlete Engagement
IRVING, Texas – Owls' standout student-athletes Madelyn Fox, Chelci Banks, and Taylor Davenport have been named Temple representatives on the American Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Fox, a senior on the Owls' women's rowing team was elected to the six-person SAAC executive board and will be the 2023-24 AAC Coordinator of Student-Athlete Engagement. Additionally, Temple volleyball's Banks and Davenport will join Fox as key members on the 42-person committee.
The mission of SAAC is to improve communication for all student-athletes at each of the 15-member schools as well as enhance communications between the institutions. SAAC takes an active role in understanding and providing feedback regarding NCAA and American legislations, and promotes student-athlete well-being, academic achievement, personal development, and community service.
