Tickets On Sale for Temple Volleyball Against No. 8 Penn State at The Liacouras Center

PHILADELPHIA - Temple Volleyball will host the first-ever volleyball match at the Liacouras Center against seven-time NCAA champions and No. 8 Penn State on Friday, Sept. 8. Match time is 7 pm. The last time the Owls and the Nittany Lions played in Philadelphia took place on Sept. 18, 2009, in front of a program record 2,719 fans in McGonigle Hall.

"The opportunity to host a volleyball match in the Liacouras Center is a historic moment to say the least. It is a testament to Temple's commitment to our program and to the sport of volleyball here in the city," said Temple Volleyball Head Coach Linda Hampton. "This will not only be the first volleyball match ever played in the Liacouras Center for our program, but it is also an opportunity to break attendance records not just for us, but for any volleyball match hosted in Philadelphia… ever! This is truly the premier volleyball event of the fall! If you love The Owls and if you love volleyball, you are going to want to be in the arena on September 8th! Temple and Penn State have played 15 times overall with four only matches taking place on North Broad Street.
