Women's Rowing Makes Strides at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta

PHILADELPHIA - Continuing its fall season, the Temple women's rowing team raced four boats in three events at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Saturday afternoon.
Among a crowded field in the Club Championship 8, the Owls A boat placed in the top third of the field. Sebastiana Lopez (coxswain), Isabella Fisher (stroke), Samantha Schuberth, Amelia Chisnall, Grace McGarry, Sophia Manning, Sabrina Cottringer, Nina Crandell and Amarna Milne (bow) raced Good Trouble to a time of 13:43.733, placing fourth among non-Ivy city boats and 16th overall in a field of 48.
Making its season debut, the Temple Novice 8+ placed 10th out of 23. Rowing in Altimari, Addison Kelly (coxswain), Clare Morgan (stroke), Reese Covalle, Layla Sawyer, Chloe Hobbs, Kaelyn Carr, Adaliz Berrios, Grace Tamburri and Mairead Plunkett (bow) crossed the finish line in 15:41.727.
The Owls are back in action on Sunday, November 3 when they compete in the prestigious Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie.
