CHARLOTTE, Nc - The Temple women's soccer team concluded their season with a narrow 1-0 defeat at Charlotte on Thursday night. This match marked the end of the season under new head coach Chris Shaw.

How it Happened

The match started with a handsy back and forth battle for possession with both teams having three shots on goal and eight fouls before the break.
Temple generated four scoring opportunities in the first half, including one offside and two missed connections in the box that led to corner kicks.
In the 29th minute, the 49ers scored their only goal following a tipped pass from inside the six-yard box. The Owls managed to keep Charlotte scoreless in the second half, maintaining a final score of 1-0.

Carly Steinberg concluded the season as the team's leading scorer with 28 shots, including two from this match.
Yao Zhou played in her 81st collegiate match, while Phoebe Hollin started her 67th game at Temple. Hollin played the full 90 minutes in every match this season, leading the team with 1,620 total minutes.
