Owls Upended by South Florida on the Road

TAMPA, Fla. – The Temple men's soccer team fell 2-0 to South Florida in a hard-fought match on Saturday evening at Corbett Stadium. South Florida scored a goal in each half to secure the win as Temple's record moved to 2-6-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Owls were aggressive early as Diego Diaz fired at the net in the seventh minute.
- Temple's defense held strong for most of the game, with Flannan Riley making seven crucial saves.
- TU looked to keep their foot on the gas in the second half with five corner kicks.
- Kemali Green and Diego Diaz kept the backend strong, playing all 90 minutes.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Charlie Votel led the Owls' offense with two shots, both on goal.
- Nathan Brown recorded two shots, matching his season-high that he set against Saint Joseph's (Sept. 24).
- Flannan Riley's seven saves are tied for the second-most he's had this season, matching his mark against Penn (Sept. 6).
- The Owls earned seven corner kicks compared to South Florida's six.
