Owls in the NFL - Week 11

11.19.24 | Football

Week 11 of the NFL season is now behind us. In another exciting week of NFL action, one of our Owls returned to Philadelphia for the first time as a pro, and another Owl got his first professional touchdown. We've got plenty other updates, so let's check in on our guys.

Washington's Jordan Magee (2019-23) made his return to Lincoln Financial Field for a Thursday night battle for first place in the NFC East. Magee recorded one tackle in the Commanders 26-18 loss to the Eagles. Magee now has two tackles on the season. Magee then returned to the Linc on Saturday to take in Temple's overtime victory over Florida Atlantic.

In his only reception of the game, New York Jets' tight end Kenny Yeboah (2016-19) caught his first NFL touchdown on an 11-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers. Yeboah has caught a pass in all three games he has played this season after missing the early part of the year with a groin injury.

Jets' edge rusher Haason Reddick (2013-16) left the 28-27 loss against the Colts with an ankle injury but was able to return to action. Reddick finished the game with one tackle.

Green Bay's Brandon McManus (2009-12) did not attempt a field goal in Sunday's game against the Bears, but the veteran kicker did go two-for-two on extra points in the Packers 20-19 win. After recording three tackles last week, Chicago's Jacob Martin (2014-17) did not make any tackles in the game.

Buffalo's Dion Dawkins (2013-16) was pivotal in creating gaps for a second quarter touchdown run, one of three rushing touchdowns the Bills had in the 30-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
San Francisco's Rock Ya-Sin (2015-18) did not record a tackle in the 49ers' 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Tennessee's David Martin-Robinson (2018-23) did not see any action in the Titans home loss, 23-13, to the Minnesota Vikings.

Detroit's Michael Niese (2016-21) earned snaps at center in another blowout win, 52-6, for the Lions. In his biggest play of the night, Niese cleared two defenders to make a lane for a 19-yard run by running back Craig Reynolds.

In an 18-16 win over their archrival Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh's Tyler Matakevich (2012-15) made his first tackle since returning from a hamstring injury he suffered in September. Matakevich now has three tackles on the season.

Sam Franklin Jr. (2016-19) and the Carolina Panthers were on a bye week after their game last week in Germany. Atlanta's Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20) was also on a bye this week.

The Atlanta Falcons released Matt Hennessy (2016-19) from the active roster but signed him to the practice squad the next day.

There are four other Owls currently on practice squad rosters:
  • Shaun Bradley – (2016-19) Houston Texans
  • Christian Braswell – (2017-20) Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Keith Kirkwood (2014-17) – Baltimore Ravens
  • William Kwenkeu (2016-21) – Baltimore Ravens
