Trujillo Leads 10 Owls onto CFN’s All-AAC Team

Kicker Maddux Trujillo has been named to the College Football Network's All-American team as an honorable mention, while 10 Owls earned All-AAC honors from the organization.
This marks the second postseason honor for Trujillo, who was named to the conference's All-AAC Second Team last week, and the first national postseason honor for the senior kicker. Trujillo made the most of his one season in Philadelphia, nailing a 64-yard field goal against Utah State, and a 60-yard field goal at UConn. Both conversions set new records for the longest field goal at the respective stadiums.
Trujillo was also named the CFN AAC Kicker of the Year and a spot on the CFN All-AAC First Team. Joining Trujillo on the first team is wide receiver Dante Wright, who finished the season catching 61 passes for 792 receiving yards while playing in eight games.
Three Owls earned a spot on the CFN All-AAC Second Team. Defensive end Diwun Black tallied two forced fumbles and six TFLs, while also finishing with eight quarterback hurries. Linebacker Tyquan King led Temple with 111 tackles, which ranked second in the AAC and 19th in FBS. Also anchoring the middle of the field was D.J. Woodbury, who joins King and Black on the second team. Woodbury finished the season with 66 solo tackles, which ranked first in the AAC and fifth in FBS.
CFN All-AAC Third Team Honors were given to Temple cornerback Jamel Johnson and punter Dante Atton. Johnson was one of four Owls to start all 12 games on defense, finished the year with 47 tackles, and added two interceptions. Atton averaged 40.47 yards per punt, and on 11 occasions pinned the opposition inside-the-20.
Three Owls were named CFN All-AAC Honorable Mentions. Running back Antwain Littleton rushed for 205 yards and a touchdown, while defensive tackle Sekou Kromah added 20 tackles and 1.5 TFLs. Finally, cornerback Torey Richardson totaled 23 tackles and an interception.
