Women’s Rowing Opens Official Spring Season at Doc Hosea Regatta

CHERRY HILL, N.J. — The Temple Women's Rowing team opened its slate of official spring competitions at the Doc Hosea Regatta on the Cooper River on Saturday, March 30.
The Owls raced five boats at the regatta: Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, Varsity 4, Second Varsity 4, and Third Varsity 8.
"Today's racing was all about opportunities for our team," Head Coach Rebecca Grzybowski said. "We took opportunities to learn, opportunities to execute, and now we are faced with the opportunity to continue as the team we currently are or choose to become the team we want to be."
Results
- Temple Varsity 8 boat placed sixth in Heat 1 with a time of 6:57.78 and took fifth place in the Petite Final at 6:58.42.
- The Cherry & White's Second Varsity 8 clocked in at 7:26.01 in Heat 1, placing sixth. The Owls placed fifth in the Petite Final at a time of 7:13.14.
- In the Varsity 4, Temple placed sixth in Heat 1 at a time of 8.21.68 and placed fourth in the Petite Final at 8:15.38.
- Temple's Third Varsity 8 finished sixth in Heat 2 and came in fifth in the Petite Final at 7:48.94.
- The Owls' Second Varsity 4 clocked in at 8:40.54 in Heat 2 and 8:38.24 in the Petite Final.
