Courtney Taylor '21 Named To U.S. Women's Box Lacrosse National Team

SPARKS, Md. – Courtney Taylor, a 2021 Temple graduate, is one of 23 players named to the inaugural U.S. Women's Box National Team. The squad will represent the United States at the World Championships to he held September 20-29 in Utica, N.Y.
 
A 2021 Third Team All-American, Taylor was a two-time All-AAC honoree, earning First Team accolades as a senior and Second Team in 2019. She was the American Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete of the year in 2021 when she helped lead the Owls to a 13-6 record and the NCAA Tournament, earning a 14-13 win against UMass in the First Round.
 
The Chalfont, Pa. native appears multiple times in the Temple record book, ranking fourth in career caused turnovers (85) and ninth in ground balls (139). Her 67 ground balls as a senior are second all-time at Temple for a single season and her 42 caused turnovers are third.
 
The U.S. will be one of 10 nations competing in the women's championship, the first time World Lacrosse has hosted a women's box world championship.
