Steve Settle III Inks Deal with Miami Heat

MIAMI – The Miami Heat announced the signing of Temple University men's basketball alumnus Steve Settle III on Tuesday evening. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Settle III previously signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Heat in June. He appeared in five NBA Summer League games with the squad, averaging 2.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.
During the 2024-25 season, Settle averaged 12.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks while leading Temple in both rebounds and blocked shots. He ranked third on the team in scoring and reached double figures in 24 games, including 12 straight to close his collegiate career. He grabbed five or more rebounds in 21 contests and posted four double-doubles, highlighted by a 21-point, 10-rebound performance at South Florida on Feb. 6.
A two-time All-MEAC selection at Howard, Settle earned All-Big 5 honorable mention this past season.
The native of Glenarden, Maryland, concluded his collegiate career with 1,485 points, 706 rebounds, 177 assists, 162 steals and 118 blocks across 128 games.
