PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer (4-15-0, 1-9) closed out its regular season with a 3-1 loss to UTSA (8-5-5, 4-3-3) on Thursday night at the Temple Sports Complex. Valentina Bitterwolf scored the Owls' lone goal in the defeat.

How It Happened

Temple struck first in the 11th minute when Valentina Bitterwolf converted a penalty kick, putting the Owls ahead 1–0.
UTSA responded in the 22nd minute as Michelle Polo connected on a goal, following an assist by Leah Varela and Brooklyn Bailey, to even the score at 1–1.
In the second half, Ava Jackson found the back of the net in the 59th minute off a pass from Kameron Kloza, giving the Roadrunners a 2–1 advantage.
Just 10 minutes later, Zoë May added another goal for UTSA, assisted by Jackson and Bailey, to secure the 3–1 win.
Temple goalkeeper Taylor Vecchione recorded a new season-high nine saves on the night.
