PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The top two Temple University men's crew boats, including a 4+ and 8+, earned dominant victories at the Head of the Ohio on Saturday. The race was the fall season opener for the Owls, who saw all seven of their entries earn top-five finishes.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The first race of the day was the men's collegiate 4+, and the Owls had four boats entered in the race.
The 'A' boat crossed in a race-best 13:26.435, just under 16 seconds faster than Temple's 'D' boat who finished second.
Marietta's top 4+ boat took third, with the remaining two Temple crews closing in fourth and fifth place.
In the men's collegiate 8+ race, Temple once again paced the field, crossing the finish line in 12:11.369.
Marietta registered a second-place showing, but was more than 13 seconds behind the Owls.
Temple's other two 8+ boats tallied third and fourth-place showings.
