Owls Close 2025 Season with Senior Day Loss to UAB

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's soccer team fell to the UAB Blazers on Sunday afternoon, 2-0. With the loss, the 2025 season draws to a close.
How it Happened
- UAB hit the ground running with four recorded shots and two corner opportunities in the first 20 minutes of play.
- Temple looked to respond with a shot from Lukas Egarter in the 31st minute, but the Blazers would respond quickly with two goals by Lucas Rizzo to give the visitors a 2-0 lead heading into the break.
- Temple opened the second half with several early defensive stops, highlighted by three key saves from goalkeeper Preston Neal to deny UAB in the 79th, 78th, and 81st minutes. The Owls generated chances through Alex O'Leary and Jayden Jackson, but were unable to find the back of the net as the Blazers held firm to close out the match.

- Egarter, Luka Lukic, and Jayden Jackson all played 90 minutes, not seeing the bench once.
- Neal recorded four saves, with all four occurring in the second half of play.
