Novoseltseva Battles, Finishes 19th at NCAA Championships

University Park, Pa. - Senior foilist Anna Novoseltseva wrapped up competition at the National Collegiate Fencing Championships on Sunday, earning a 19th-place finish. This marks her second consecutive top-20 national result in her fourth year at the event.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Novoseltseva finished the first pool of the day (fourth overall) with one win in four bouts and a -4 touch score.
- In the fifth and final pool of the championship, she went 2-1 with a +2 touch score, including a 5-3 victory over eventual foil runner-up Jessica Guo of Harvard.
- The champion, Arianna Cao, defeated Guo, 15-14 in the foil championship bout.
