King Scores Twice as Owls Fall to Ranked JMU

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's lacrosse (2-11, 0-4 AAC) fell to No. 11 James Madison (9-4, 4-0 AAC) on Saturday afternoon, losing 18-4 at Howarth Field.
Erin King scored two goals for the Owls, while Sabrina Martin and Cassidy Brown each added one.

How It Happened
- The Dukes opened the game with a dominant first quarter, scoring nine unanswered goals. Savannah Drey, Maddie Epke and Peyton Root each found the back of the net multiple times in the opening period. Martin scored Temple's lone goal of the quarter.
- James Madison extended its lead in the second, adding three more goals to take a 12-2 advantage into halftime. King scored her first goal of the day off an assist from Laura Conner.
- Brown tallied her first goal as an Owl early in the third quarter, but the Dukes responded quickly. King added her second goal later in the period.
- James Madison closed out the game with four fourth-quarter goals, securing the 18-4 win.
