Owls Close 2025 Season with Win Over Charlotte

PHILADELPHIA — Temple women's lacrosse (4-11, 2-4 AAC) secured a 17-12 victory over Charlotte (6-10, 1-5 AAC) Saturday afternoon at Howarth Field. Erin King led the way for the Owls, scoring four goals and adding two assists, while Kaitlyn Stankavage and Sabrina Martin each registered hat tricks.
How it Happened
The game opened with Temple and Charlotte trading goals. Jenna Facciolli scored the first goal for the Owls, while Charlotte's Katie Gorski answered with two goals. Isa Torres and Avery Olsen also scored for the 49ers. Sabrina Martin and Erin King added goals for Temple, narrowing the score to 4-3 as Charlotte closed the first quarter with a lead.
Temple's offense stayed hot in the second quarter, as the Owls netted five goals to take an 8-7 lead. King scored twice in the quarter, and Amelia Wright, Lexi Culp, and Cathleen Moran each contributed a goal. Gorski added another goal for Charlotte, followed by scores from Kylie Gioia and Claire Schotta.
Charlotte outscored Temple 4-2 in the third quarter, taking an 11-10 lead. Torres completed a hat trick in the quarter, and Schotta added another goal for the 49ers. Stankavage scored her first goal of the game for the Owls, and Martin increased her total to two goals.
In the fourth quarter, Temple erupted, scoring seven unanswered goals to seal the win. Stankavage, Martin, and King each added goals, while Sarah Gowman and Amelia Wright also scored. The Owls finished the season with a 4-12 record after the 17-12 victory.
