PHILADELPHIATemple University men's basketball head coach Adam Fisher announced the signing of Belgian forward Ayuba Bryant on Tuesday.

Bryant, an incoming freshman, arrives on North Broad Street after playing for JL Bourg-en-Bresse in France's LNB Pro-A under-21 league. In 28 contests during the 2024-25 season, he averaged 13.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

"We are very excited to welcome Ayuba Bryant to the Temple basketball family," said Fisher. "Ayuba brings extensive international experience playing for the Belgian National Team. His versatility on both ends of the floor will be a major asset for us next season. He can defend multiple positions and has the ability to be a mismatch on the offensive end."

At Bourg, Bryant scored in double figures in 19 games, including six 20-point performances. He posted a season-high 26 points against Cholet and recorded a 24-point, 13-rebound double-double in a win over Le Mans.

"I felt a genuine connection with the staff from day one," said Bryant. "On top of that, I'm convinced that Temple's program is the absolute best for my development, and I believe my skills will translate well into their system."

Internationally, Bryant has represented Belgium at both the 2024 FIBA U20 EuroBasket and the 2021 FIBA U16 European Challengers. At the 2024 U20 European Championships, the Antwerp native averaged 13.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist while shooting 52.5 percent over seven games. He led Belgium in scoring in four of the seven contests, including 20 points in the semifinal against Slovenia and 19 points in the third-place game.

Bryant becomes the seventh newcomer signed to Temple's 2025-26 roster. He joins fellow incoming freshman Cam Wallace (Philadelphia, Pa./Westtown) and transfers Jamai Felt (Boston, Mass./Bowling Green), Derrian Ford (Magnolia, Ark./Arkansas State), Masiah Gilyard (Brooklyn, N.Y./Manhattan), Gavin Griffiths (Simsbury, Conn./Nebraska) and CJ Hines (Atlanta, Ga./Alabama State).
