PHILADELPHIA – Phil Steele released his annual preseason All-American Athletic Conference team which included four Temple Owls heading into the 2025 season.
Making the list are the following Owls: Jay Ducker (Second Team), Jalen Stewart (Third Team), Ben Osueke (Third Team), and Demerick Morris (Fourth Team).
Ducker is a redshirt senior running back transferring to 10th and Diamond from Sam Houston alongside head coach of Temple K.C. Keeler. Ducker rushed in 2024 for a team-high 745 total yards and seven touchdowns. Ducker has previously played in the AAC during his collegiate career as he spent 2021-2023 as a member of the Memphis Tigers. In addition to Phil Steele's list, Ducker has been named to the All-AAC second team by Lindy's Sports.
Stewart comes to Temple as a 5th year linebacker, playing his previous three seasons at UMass. During his senior campaign, Stewart appeared in 12 games for the Minutemen and totaled 77 tackles, 27 of those were solo tackles. Stewart played his freshman season at Monroe Community College before transferring to UMass.
Entering his fifth year and his third season at Temple, Ben Osueke is already turning heads at cornerback heading into the 2025 season. Osueke saw action against nationally ranked Oklahoma back in 2024 and notched three tackles in the win over Utah State last season. In his two prior seasons at Temple, Osueke has lettered.
Rounding out the group is Demerick Morris. The redshirt fifth year defensive tackle has been a mainstay on the line since his freshman year. During his senior year Morris earned a single digit, given to those who lead by example on and off the field at Temple. He served as a four-time game captain for the Owls in 2024 as the starting nose guard. Morris recorded a season-high five tackles at Navy and had his first career fumble recovery against North Texas.
