Rimpel Signs Contract with Chattanooga FC

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Chattanooga Football Club (CFC) announced Tuesday morning the signing of Temple University men's soccer graduate Xavier Rimpel to a one-year contract with a club option for an additional year, pending federation and league approval.
Chattanooga currently sits in third place in the MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference with an 8-4-4 record.
"Xavier has been with us for almost two weeks on trial and proved he deserved a roster spot," said CFC Sporting Director Sebastian Giraldo in a release. "We are trying to get better every day and improve the team, and Xavier makes us better with his experience, versatility and athleticism."
Rimpel made five starts and appeared in 16 matches for Temple during the 2024 season, tallying two goals and two assists for six points. He was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after notching two assists and scoring the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over Villanova.
"I feel extremely excited and motivated to help CFC serve its community through football and to find success in the sport," said Rimpel in a release. "It's an honor to be part of the club, and in every training session and game, I'm proud to have the responsibility of bringing great football to the CFC fans and community."
Rimpel will wear the No. 12 jersey.
A native of Canada, Rimpel appeared in 45 career matches at Temple, recording three goals and four assists for 10 points.
He and Chattanooga FC travel to Subaru Park on Sunday, July 13 to face Philadelphia Union II at 3 p.m. The match can be watched on MLS Season Pass with a subscription to Apple TV.
