Men’s Soccer Falls in Conference Opener at Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Temple men's soccer team fell to the Missouri State Bears on the road Friday evening, by a score of 4-0. With the loss, Temple's record shifts to 0-4-2 while Missouri State's record improves to 3-1-1.

How it Happened

The Owls looked to apply pressure early, with four shots in the first half, including two shots on goal from Nathan Brown.
The Bears would capitalize on a pair of first-half opportunities, scoring in the 22nd minute and again on a penalty kick in the 25th.
Temple continued to push for a response, but couldn't break through the Bears' back line, as Missouri State added goals in the 71st and 75th minutes to put the match out of reach.

By the Numbers

Diego Dauzier hauled in two saves in his second consecutive start.
George Medill and Chase Jackson joined Brown in the shot column with one each.
This match marked the start of conference play for Temple, who will look to bounce back in their next American Conference matchup against Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Sept. 21.
