Men’s Soccer Falls in Conference Opener at Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Temple men's soccer team fell to the Missouri State Bears on the road Friday evening, by a score of 4-0. With the loss, Temple's record shifts to 0-4-2 while Missouri State's record improves to 3-1-1.
How it Happened
- The Owls looked to apply pressure early, with four shots in the first half, including two shots on goal from Nathan Brown.
- The Bears would capitalize on a pair of first-half opportunities, scoring in the 22nd minute and again on a penalty kick in the 25th.
- Temple continued to push for a response, but couldn't break through the Bears' back line, as Missouri State added goals in the 71st and 75th minutes to put the match out of reach.
By the Numbers
- Diego Dauzier hauled in two saves in his second consecutive start.
- George Medill and Chase Jackson joined Brown in the shot column with one each.
- This match marked the start of conference play for Temple, who will look to bounce back in their next American Conference matchup against Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Sept. 21.
