TULSA, Okla. – Temple women's soccer (2-8-0, 0-2-0) dropped a road matchup to Tulsa (6-3-2, 1-1-0) on Thursday night, falling 3-1 after conceding three second-half goals. Freshman Eva Matesich scored the lone goal for the Owls in the first half.

How It Happened

Temple opened the scoring in the 19th minute when freshman Eva Matesich found the back of the net, finishing a well-placed pass from Teagan Harkins and Valentina Bitterwolf to give the Owls a 1-0 lead.
Tulsa responded in the 68th minute, as Kaleigh Hart netted the equalizer off assists from Brenna Rowlett and Addison Castleberry, tying the match at 1-1.
The Golden Hurricane took the lead just five minutes later. In the 73rd minute, Ady Bechtel scored to make it 2-1, assisted by Maggie SymSmith and Natalie Hernandez.
Tulsa extended its lead to 3-1 in the 75th minute after Blaine Schutte scored off a pass from Jordan Frederick, sealing the win for the home side.
Temple goalkeeper Taylor Vecchione made four saves in her first start of the season.
