Owls in the NFL - Week 18 (Final Regular Season)

1.5.26 | Football

Sunday wrapped up the final week of the 2025 NFL regular season. While this was the last game of the year for some Owls, others will have the opportunity to compete next weekend in the Wild Card round of the Playoffs.

In our final Owl vs Owl matchup of the year, cornerback Christian Braswell (2017-20) and the Jacksonville Jaguars battled tight end David Martin-Robinson (2018-2023) and the Tennessee Titans. Braswell recorded two tackles and was solid in coverage while Martin-Robinson hauled in a 14-yard reception and was targeted two additional times. The Jaguars won 41-7 and will take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Commanders' linebacker Jordan Magee (2019-23) and defensive end Jacob Martin (2014-17) made their return to Lincoln Financial Field where they each once called home for four years to take on the Eagles. Magee racked up four more tackles as he finished sixth on the Commanders' defense in tackling. Martin recorded a tackle of his own, and the Commanders would go on to upset the Eagles, 24-17, to prevent their rival from obtaining the No.2 seed in the NFC.

While the Eagles didn't climb up in the playoff seedings as they would have liked, they did get the help they needed from cornerback Rock Ya-Sin (2018) and the Detroit Lions as they defeated the Bears, 19-16, on a last-second field goal. Ya-Sin excelled in coverage all game long while picking up four tackles in addition to a pass break up and pressuring the quarterback with two QB hits. Ya-Sin was one of the breakout players of the year for the Lions and will look to carry his success into next season.

While head coach Todd Bowles (1982-85) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did get the result they were looking for with a 16-14 win over the Panthers, they narrowly missed out on the playoffs with the Bucs needing the Saints to defeat the Falcons, which did not happen. Linebacker Haason Reddick (2013-16) recorded two tackles in the win as Bowles finished out his fourth campaign as the Bucs' head coach with an 8-9 record.

As for the aforementioned Bills, they rested their star left tackle Dion Dawkins (2013-16) during their 35-8 win over the Jets. Safety Sam Franklin (2016-19) did record two tackles. The Bills playoff matchup against the Jaguars is set for 1:00pm on Sunday and will be televised on CBS.

Packers' kicker Brandon McManus (2009-12) converted a 24-yard field goal in their 16-3 loss to the Vikings. They will take on the Bears this Saturday night at 8:00pm in an inter-division playoff matchup with that game being televised on Prime Video.

Offensive lineman Matt Hennessey (2016-19) did not play in the 49ers 13-3 loss to the Seahawks. He will make his return to Lincoln Financial Field as the 49ers will take on the Eagles on Sunday at 4:30pm, televised on FOX.

Linebacker Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20) did not record any stats in the Falcons 19-17 win over the Saints.

The following players finished the season on inactive rosters:
Baltimore – WR Keith Kirkwood (2014–17) – Practice Squad
Detroit – TE Kenny Yeboah (2016–19) – Injured
Miami – TE Chris Myarick (2014–18) – Practice Squad
Washington – WR Robbie Chosen (2013– 15) – Practice Squad
