Tobiason Named Big 5 Player of the Week, American Conference Honorable Mention

PHILADELPHIA – Following a career performance in an 81-73 road win at East Carolina, the Philadelphia Big 5 and the American Conference honored Temple University men's basketball sophomore guard Aiden Tobiason with weekly honors Monday afternoon.

Tobiason was named Big 5 Player of the Week and earned American Conference honorable mention status for the second straight week.

A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Tobiason recorded a career-best 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting (2-of-5 from 3-point range, 5-of-5 at the foul line), added six rebounds, and registered one assist, one block and one steal in 37 minutes against the Pirates.

Over the past five games, Tobiason is averaging 19.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 54% from the floor. He has committed one turnover over his last three games and 113 minutes.

Among American Conference leaders, Tobiason ranks third in field goal percentage (49.8%), fifth in minutes per game (34:56), eighth in free throw percentage (82.1%), 11th in points per game (15.5), 12th in total points (356), 14th in free throws made (87), and 15th in free throw attempts (106). He has now earned weekly recognition from the conference three times during his sophomore season.

Tobiason and the Owls return to action Wednesday at Tulane. Opening tip is set for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
