Owls Continue to Impress with USFCA and NIWFA Honors

PHILADELPHIA - The United States Fencing Coaching Association has announced its All-Region selections for the 2025-26 season, with three Owls earning spots on the Mid-Atlantic/South list. Selections were based on results from the regional competition held on March 7 in Haverford, PA.
In saber, sophomore Alexandra Papapetropoulou headlined the group, earning a First-Team Saber spot for her fourth-place finish — the first USFCA First Team All-Region honor of her career. Two Owls were recognized in foil. Senior Renee Oymann secured a Second-Team Foil selection for her sixth-place finish, while freshman Anais Wandji received an honorable mention in foil after placing tenth.
All-NIWFA selections were also announced based on results from the NIWFA Championships held in Madison, NJ on February 28th. Six total Owls earned honors, including senior Natalie-Adams Kim with First-Team Foil following her first-place finish. Freshmen Keely Carter and Reese Birnstill were awarded First-Team Saber, while Anne-Mai Melles, Grace Smith, and Lindsey Minor, who each medaled at NIWFAs, received Second-Team Epee.
