PHILADELPHIA – Director of Tennis Jeff Brandes has been named the Philadelphia Area Tennis District (PATD) College Coach of the Year, recognizing his leadership of the Owls' men's and women's tennis programs.
The PATD awards recognize individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to the sport of tennis, honoring those who help grow the game and strengthen the tennis community across the Philadelphia region at a variety of levels.
Brandes has helped elevate the profile of Temple tennis both on and off the court, including overseeing the opening of Temple's 52,000-square-foot tennis complex last year. The facility earned national recognition as a USTA Outstanding Facility Award winner, honoring excellence in tennis facility construction and renovation across the country.
Temple's programs continue to build under Brandes' leadership, with the men's team currently holding a 3-5 record and the women's team sitting at 5-5 this season. Brandes holds an overall record of 26-32 between both the men's and women's programs since being named Temple's Director of Tennis in August of 2024.
