PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University men's crew varsity eight is ranked No. 19 nationally in the preseason IRCA/IRA Coaches Poll, it was announced on Tuesday.
The Owls are coming off a tremendous 2025-26 season that saw the V8 win the Richard O'Brien - James Hanna Trophy at Dad Vail Regatta. Following IRA's, the V8 and a 4+ boat competed at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta in Henley-on-Thames, England and showed well against the top teams in the world.
The Owls will begin spring competition on Saturday, March 28, with a four-team meet against No. 5 Princeton, No. 16 La Salle, and No. 18 Georgetown.
