Men's Crew Advances Six Boats to Finals at Knecht Cup

CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. - Six Temple University men's crew boats advanced to the finals of the Knecht Cup, following a full day of racing on the Cooper River Saturday.
A trio of fours will compete for gold in the grand final of the Men's Varsity 4 competition, and the men's novice four, the men's second varsity eight, and the men's varsity eight boats also advanced.
The freshman/novice four posted on impressive 23-second victory in the opening heat of the day, while the Temple 'A' boat in the men's varsity four crossed the finish line an incredible 39 seconds in front of second-place MIT.
Racing for the Owls on Sunday will begin at 9:29 a.m. with the final of the men's freshman/novice four, and will conclude with the men's varsity eight final at 2:41 p.m.
