Blumenschein Earns American Player of the Week Honors

IRVING, Texas – After strong performances this past week, Temple's Alberto Blumenschein earned the American Conference's Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
Blumenschein delivered a perfect week for the Owls, going 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles play. Blumenschein secured a pivotal three-set comeback victory against Howard, rallying from a set down to win 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5), while adding straight-set wins against LIU and FDU. He also remained unbeaten in doubles, helping Temple secure the doubles point against LIU and FDU as the Owls closed the regular season with three straight wins.
Temple men's tennis will next compete in the 2026 American Conference Tournament, facing the Florida Atlantic Owls on Thursday, April 16th at 2:00 p.m.
