Six Owls Earn All-Conference Honors

IRVING Tx - Following a 12-win season, the American Athletic Conference announced Wednesday that six Temple women's lacrosse players earned All-Conference honors.

Riley Horoshko was named Goalkeeper of the Year, becoming the first Owl in program history to receive the honor. Amelia Wright, Kaitlyn Stankavage, and Horoshko earned First Team All-Conference recognition, while Lexi Culp, Brooke Mazzei, and Madison Moten were named to the Second Team.

As a team, the Owls collected over 30 weekly honors throughout the season, including 18 honorable mentions, one Attack Player of the Week, four Midfield Player of the Week, three Freshman of the Week honors, three Goalkeeper of the Week awards, and two Defensive Player of the Week recognitions.

Four Owls reached major career milestones during the season. Martin surpassed 100 career draw controls and finished the regular season with 49. Wright eclipsed both 100 career points and 100 career goals, leading the team with 44 goals. Riley Horoshko also surpassed 100 career saves and recorded 125 saves this season.

Horoshko closed the regular season leading the NCAA with a .527 save percentage and 13th in goals-against average (8.25). She recorded double-digit saves in seven games, including a career-high 14 in the win over Saint Joseph's.

Culp led the Owls with 61 points and ranked third in the conference in assists per game. Wright finished third in the conference in goals and sixth in points per game. Martin and Wright also tied for third in the conference in free-position goals per game.
