PHILADELPHIA – Temple University men's basketball head coach Adam Fisher announced Tuesday the signing of 6-2 redshirt senior guard Deuce Drake to the Owls' 2026-27 roster.

Drake, a native of Oak Park, Michigan, missed the entire 2025-26 season at Indiana due to a lower-body injury. He previously played at Drexel in 2024-25, Butler Community College in 2023-24 and Cleveland State in 2022-23.

At Drexel, Drake averaged 11.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting 42.8 percent from the field, 39.6 percent from 3-point range and 86.5 percent from the line in 33 starts for the Dragons.

"We're excited to welcome Deuce back to Philadelphia and into our Temple family," said Fisher. "He is an athletic guard who can score, distribute, get to the line and shoot at a high level. Deuce brings fierce competitiveness, great energy and toughness to our backcourt."

Drake posted 16 games in double figures, including four 20-point performances at Drexel. He twice scored a career-high 25 points, doing so against William & Mary and Elon. He also tallied nine assists and four rebounds against the Tribe, finishing just shy of a double-double.

"I really liked how invested the coaching staff was throughout the process and their plan for my development," said Drake. "I also like how involved the guards are in Coach Fisher's system."

At Butler Community College in Kansas in 2023-24, Drake made 27 starts in 31 appearances. He averaged 9.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 46.5 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from 3-point range. He reached double figures in scoring 15 times and dished out at least five assists in 12 games.

Drake began his collegiate career at Cleveland State in 2022-23, appearing in 16 games as a freshman.

At Ferndale High School, Drake led the Eagles to back-to-back Michigan High School Athletic Association Division II Final Four appearances in 2021 and 2022. In 2021-22, Ferndale finished the season with a 21-4 record and an Oakland Activities Association Red Division title. Drake was a two-time All-Michigan selection and also earned All-Metro and All-County honors.

Drake joins fellow transfer signees Dallis Dillard (Harlem, N.Y./IUP), Baboucarr Njie (Dayton, Ohio/UTSA) and Dez White (Jefferson City, Mo./Oregon State), returners Gavin Griffiths, Cam Wallace and Olin Chamberlain Jr., and incoming freshman Derrick Morton-Rivera on the 2026-27 roster.
